Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of PDFEditorX, a web-based PDF editing and document productivity service operated by Blackwell Sp. z o.o. (Poland), the merchant of record for its subscriptions and payments. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. Contact: [email protected].

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of PDFEditorX and the website at pdfeditorx.com (the "Service"), operated by Blackwell Sp. z o.o., a Polish limited liability company ("Blackwell", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Blackwell Sp. z o.o. is the operator of, and the merchant of record for, PDFEditorX.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service and to purchase a subscription. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. The Service

PDFEditorX is a web-based service for editing, converting, compressing, and merging PDF and related documents. We may add, modify, or discontinue features over time. We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

4. Accounts & security

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions, trials & billing

5.1 Plans and pricing. Some features require a paid plan. The applicable price, billing interval, and any trial terms are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe (and, where offered, other payment providers). Blackwell Sp. z o.o. is the merchant of record for all PDFEditorX charges.

5.2 Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price for that plan. You may cancel at any time before the next billing date to avoid further charges.

5.3 Free trials. Free trials may be offered to new users. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically into a paid subscription, and the disclosed price will be charged.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops future renewals; you retain access until that period ends. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel before your next billing date.

7. Refunds

We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee on new subscription purchases. To request a refund within the eligible window, email [email protected].

Where you are an EU/EEA consumer and expressly request that the Service begins immediately, you acknowledge that, once the digital service has been fully performed, you may lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal to the extent permitted by Directive 2011/83/EU and Polish consumer law. Except where required by applicable law, fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable upon cancellation or termination beyond the guarantee described above.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not: – Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe the rights of others; – Upload content you do not have the right to process; – Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; – Resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted.

9. Your content & intellectual property

You retain all rights to the files and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you. The Service itself, including its software, design, and trademarks, remains the property of Blackwell Sp. z o.o. and its licensors.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as Stripe for payments and hosting and analytics providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blackwell Sp. z o.o. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blackwell Sp. z o.o. from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update these Terms or the Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Poland, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms deprives EU/EEA consumers of the protection afforded by the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
